TinEye est un moteur de recherche d’image inversée (reverse image search engine). Au lieu de fonctionner avec des mots clés ou des tags, le site utilise une technologie de reconnaissance d’image. Bien évidemment, la compagnie ne dévoile pas les rouages de sa recette secrète.

Vous n’avez qu’à soumettre une image et le moteur parcourt le web pour trouver d’où l’image provient, comment elle est utilisée, si des versions modifiées existent ou encore si elle est disponible en différente résolution.

Just did a quick natural light portrait of a young entrepreneur lady who deals as an art broker for classic and modern decorative art. Ive reframed her with a frame she had in her office, processed the raw image and masked the Nik Silver Efex layer with the shape of the frame… 3 minutes and a great WOW factor.

The Nik well known suite of effects has gotten better by the in version 3 by the advanced user interface that gives you the full control and best of all the full preview of the effect that you are to apply. The Nik palette gives acces to all Nik effects and filters available on your computer. Looking at the image you wish to modify you will either clik directly on the tab of the effect you want to apply or call the full interface through the filter menu. once the Nik window opens you will have acces to all control for that particular filter in brightness, contrast and the new incredib;e U-point technology to modulate the effect on certain regions where you want to dim or increase the effect.

I personaly loves the interface where you still have access to all filters and effects, because you could still play and experiment with not only variations with the filter you have choosen, but with all of the filters and their respective variations.

You can ten decide to apply the result bu hand by painting in the effect with the provided mask where you will only kind of paint in the effect and once this is done you still can change the opacity and fill…

job it does at interpreting real film features, that my daughter, asked me “Dad, in your time cameras reacted differently according of the film you used!!!” Then used the Silver effet to show her the Agfapan 100 film I would have used to shoot a portrait and the Kodak Tri-X  for the still life… “Why don’t you use these films anymore?” ” You have to use a whole roll, they are hard to get… you have to wait for it to be processed or I’ll take back the computer room I did for you went I shut down my home darkroom…”  This is when she stopped arguing and asked me to modify her pics from the week end in black and white… yes she has discovered the original films but have invented he own ans discovered the u-point technology and the custom tweeks faster that I could explain.
